This checklist is built specifically for couples getting married in the Vaal Triangle — Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg, Meyerton and surrounds. Save it, print it, tick it off.

12+ months before

  • Set your overall budget and define your top 3 priorities (venue, photography, food, music — pick three to splurge on).
  • Build your draft guest list. This drives everything else.
  • Visit 3–5 Vaal Triangle venues. Book yours.
  • Hire your wedding planner or day-of coordinator (especially if it’s a farm venue).

9–10 months before

  • Book your photographer, videographer and DJ — these get snapped up fastest.
  • Choose your wedding party.

6–8 months before

  • Book florist, caterer (if not via venue), and cake.

2–3 months before

  • Final dress fitting.

  • Send formal invitations.

4–6 weeks before

  • RSVP follow-ups.
  • Final headcount to caterer and venue.
  • Confirm timeline with all vendors.

The week of

  • Deliver welcome packs to guest accommodation.
